2012′s Brooklyn Bodega Hip-Hop Festival was absolutely LEGENDARY!
For the main event, Busta started things up by performing many of his hits back to back with his main man Spliff Star by his side. His first guest appearance was from Lil’ Fame of Brownsville’s hard core hip-hop crew MOP, they performed Ante Up.
Busta ran through some more hits, then the “BDI” MC Buckshot jumped out on stage and ripped it! He did “How Many MC’s Must Get Dissed” & “I Gotcha Open”. Buckshot was then joined by the original gun clappas Smif-N-Wessun. Busta performed with, then introduced his other two Conglomerate members Reek Da Villian from Long Island, NY and J Doe from Inglewood, CA.
After going back-stage to put on some truck jewelry, Busta introduced Slick Rick, who performed, “Children’s Story”. After Slick Rick’s performance, Busta reunited with his two former group members Dinco-D and Charlie Brown to form Leaders Of The New School for the first time in 19 years and performed “Case of the PTA”.
I’m not sure if anyone knew what was about to happen but LONS joined forces with ATCQ and performed “Scenario”. I’m talking Phife Dawg and Q-Tip on stage together with Busta Rhymes, Dinco-D and Charlie Brown. They tore it down! See videos below…
